Sangwan was born in 1900 into a goldsmith family in the Anongkharam Temple community in Thonburi.
Prince Mahidol and Princess Srinagarindra had three children: Princess Galyani Vadhana, King Ananda Mahidol, Rama VIII, and King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Rama IX.
Princess Srinagarindra supported the royal development activities of her son with her own projects, particularly in the fields of health and education, to help improve the quality of life of people in remote areas of the country.
