On 11 May 2018, the Mae Fah Luang Foundation under Royal Patronage participated in the Asia Media Summit organized by the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD) in New Delhi, India.
AIBD is a partner of Unesco in media training, and recently visited the Doi Tung Development Project in Chiang Rai Province, together with other ASEAN and Chinese delegates of a UNDP conference in November 2017.
Attending the summit were over 190 members of government agencies, the UN, NGOs and international media from the Asia-Pacific region. Representing the MFLF was Ms. Ramrada Ninnad who spoke on “Sustainable Development Stories – Special Focus”. Other panelists included India’s Minister of Drinking Water and Sanitation, representatives from Bhutan’s Department of Information and Media, the Korea Communications Commission, the United Nations Information Centre for India and Bhutan, the Centre for Ecological Studies, Indian Institute of Science and the Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio and Communication.
