June 4 – July 31, 2012, Beginning of the Living University Internship Program 2012

Seven foreign and six Thai interns are participating in the MFLF Living University Internship Program 2012from June 4 – July 31, 2012, marking the third consecutive year of the program. This year the MFLF welcomes the interns from leading universities around the world including Fletcher School, Tufts University, John F. Kenedy School of Government, Harvard University, Presidio Graduate School, University of Pennsylvania, Grinnell College and California Polytechnic State University, the United States of America; Flinders University, Australia; University of Glasgow, Scotland; and Thammasat University and Srinakharinwirot University, Thailand.


The interns will work in groups on two main projects, one of which is Communication Project which aims at improving means of external communicationsFrom this project, case studies, articles and video clips regarding the work of the Foundation are expectedat the end of the program. ;The other project is Sustainable Tourism Development Project, which is the continuity of last a tourism project initiated in last year’s Internship Program.

The interns will initially visit the Doi Tung Development Project (DTDP) and the MFLF’s other extended projects in Chiang Rai, Nan and Udon Thani to learn about the Sustainable Alternative Livelihood Development (SALD) before working on their assigned projects.
