The Mae Fah Luang 4th International Internship Program from June 1 – July 31, 2013.

The Knowledge and Learning Centre (KLC) hosted the fourth internship program at the Doi Tung Development Project from June 1 to July 31, 2013 as part of our “Living University”. This year, both Thai and international students were assigned to create communication tools—printed and digital media, as well as short documentaries—for the Doi Tung Development Project that present the Foundation’s principles through their point of view. Their works will be used in disseminating our development principles as well as inspiring young generation viewers to give back to society.

Internship 2013

There were twelve interns, six Thais and six foreigners from leading universities around the world including UC Berkeley, Presidio Graduate School, Rhode Island School of Design, University of Southern California and Brown University, the United States of America; University of Cambridge, United Kingdom; The Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po - Paris), France; Chulalongkorn University, Thammasat University, Silpakorn University and King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang in Thailand.

The interns worked in two groups as follows:

1. Infographic Development Team created digital/ printed media about the Doi Tung Development Project, especially DoiTung coffee. Their works consist of 1) a photo book on the people of Doi Tung, 2) DoiTung coffee brochure 3) coffee sleeves, 4) posters, and 5) marketing campaign for DoiTung Coffee.

2. Documentary Team produced two short films on particular people in Doi Tung titled “Catharsis” and “Looking Up”.
