The Sustainability Advisory Unit (SuA) of the Mae Fah Luang Foundation (MFLF) is looking for a purpose-driven team player to join us in driving sustainable action to scale up measurable real-world impact across Thailand and beyond.

With 40 years of experience in transforming lives through human-centered development — balancing social, environmental, and economic well-being — the Foundation has launched SuA to extend its impact by working with partners across the public and private sectors in Thailand and internationally. Our mission: a “last-mile implementation solution” to turn sustainability vision into measurable, lasting results on the ground.

In your day-to-day as SuA’s Assistant Sustainability Manager, you will:

  •   Co-develop, execute, and manage multi-disciplinary sustainability projects—from start to success — working closely with local actors and global leaders in climate, biodiversity, and sustainable development.
  • Serve as a connector across sectors and stakeholder groups to unlock shared value and amplify impact through managing strategic collaboration.
  • Advance your own and others’ understanding and practice around climate & environmentnature & biodiversity, and social development topics to  improve implementation solutions and contribute to thought leadership.

A good-fit candidate may have these attributes:

  • Intellectually curious and attuned to developments in sustainability, climate action, and nature conservation.
  • Ability to combine systems thinking with a hands-on, solutions-focused mindset — turning sustainability vision into reality with timely, effective execution.
  • Educational background in Social Sciences, Economics, Public Administration, Business, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, with over 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong communicator in both Thai and English, skilled in bridging understanding, buy-in, and collaborative efforts across diverse stakeholder groups — from grassroots communities to business leaders and policy shapers.
  • Excellent project management skills: highly capable of planning, coordinating, executing, and evaluating multi-dimensional sustainability initiatives to deliver results that align with international standards while ensuring real benefits to communities.
